This game is played on a 8x8 square board with the following setup:

  • TURN - On each turn, each player makes two moves. He can choose (in any order) between:
    • Move one of his Kings to an adjacent (orthogonal or diagonal) empty cell.
      • If a move creates a straight line (orthogonal or diagonal) of enemy stones with two friendly Kings on the edges, the enemy stones are demoted to soldiers (this is a kind of extended custodian capture).
      • Captures are not mandatory.
    • Swap one King with one adjacent friendly soldier.
  • GOAL - Wins the player that demotes all but one of the enemy Kings.
    • If both players only have 2 Kings left, and after 20 moves there are no more captures, the game is a draw.

An example

Green can win by swapping the King at c2 with the soldier at b2, and then move into a2 demoting the King at a4. Green wins because, after the move, Black only has one King left.

The game has very little information. No author and it is also undated. However the game must be between 1971 (the year Diset was established) and c.2000 (the rules came from abstractstrategy.com around that time). Possibly from the 1970s, given the design art:
