MASTER - The Master move to any
orthogonal direction up to 3 cells. |
OFFICER - The Officer move
up to two cells in one orthogonal direction. |
PAWN - The pawn move to any
(orthogonal and diagonal) adjacent empty cell. |
CAPTURE - Pieces can
capture enemy pieces if they can move over them. Jumps are not
allowed.
Pawns can only capture enemy Pawns |
Officers capture enemy Officers and
Pawns |
Masters can capture any enemy piece.
They can also capture (devour) friendly Officers and Pawns. |
Resurrection
- If a Officer or Master is
captured, the capturing player may immediately return one of his
own captured pieces to play. The "resurrected" piece must
be placed in any empty cell on the board.
The resurrected piece must be of
a lower rank than the piece that was captured: capturing a
Master will allow the resurrection of an Officer or Pawn
(player's choice); capturing an Officer will allow the resurrection
of a Pawn only. |
If no eligible captured pieces
are available, this benefit is lost. Masters, once captured,
may never be resurrected by any means. |
Masters "devouring"
friendly pieces do not trigger resurrection. |
CONTROL - If an enemy
piece is on the zone of control (ZoC) of a player's Master or Officer,
he can move it!
Masters control Officers and Pawns
if they are at an orthogonal distance of 2 from that Master (check
diagram). |
Officers control Pawns if they are
at an orthogonal distance of 1 or 2 from that Officer (check
diagram). |
Controlled Officers move the same,
but controlled Pawns (the treacherous pawns) can slide up to three
cells in any orthogonal or diagonal direction. |
KO rule - A control move cannot
repeat the immediate previous board position. |
If a player loses all 4 Officers or
all 6 pawns, he lose the control ability. |
TURN - On each turn,
each player must (i) move a piece, (ii) capture a piece, or (iii)
control an enemy piece.
GOAL - Wins the player
that (i) captures all three opponent's Masters, or (ii) capture
all the opponent's Officers and Pawns.
