Berolina's Revenge is a two player game played on a 8x8 square board, with the following setup:
|
Since White pawns have a numerical advantage, it is good to exchange stones on a one to one ratio. This must be done as often as possible, because, when the promotion phase begins, White pawns will tend to stalemate each other and Black will have his revenge!
There is a ZRF to play Berolina's Revenge with Zillions.
An example White plays and wins. How? White d1-d2 is a waiting move to exploit the Black's positional zungzang. Now, Black moves c4-d3, followed by e2:d3, c3-b2, c1:b2, h7-g6, h5:g6, f7-e6, f5:e6 and White wins by stalemate. |
Berolina's Revenge was a candidate for the 2002 Game Design Competition.
