Batalo is played on the following
board with the following setup:

BASE - The cell where the King
(the marked stone) starts. |

SOLDIER
- The soldier move to an adjacent empty cell, or jump over
friendly pieces or over its own base (stones can continue to jump
other pieces, but it is not mandatory).
 |
The soldier cannot move to the base. |
 |
The soldier cannot capture enemy pieces. |

KING - Move and jump like the
soldiers, plus it can slide in a straight line of empty cells. The
King may also capture enemy pieces by landing on them.

The King may move or slide over its own Base. |

 |
GOAL
- Wins the player the moves a piece into the enemy Base. |

An example
The white soldier moves to cell [1], creating a fork for the Black
King. He must capture the white soldier, and then the White King
captures at g7, winning in one move. |
